Liquid chlorine & muratic acid will get into the gelcoat pores and if you have high PH, cause blisters. Epoxy and Polymer surfaces like EcoFinish fill and cover these microscopic pores in the gelcoat making it even easier to maintain your pool if your pool service company uses liquid toxic chemicals or allow the calcium to build up above 225.
